Our story began on a mountaintop with an orthopedic surgeon. Founder Dr. Dane Glueck’s passion for solar was sparked during his medical residency in the Appalachian region of Kentucky, where he experienced how the ongoing destruction of the region by coal mining withered the health and vitality of the community.

When Dane returned to St. Louis post-residency, alongside his medical practice he built StraightUp Solar to further care for his community. His vision was to change the energy paradigm and give people choice in their energy source.

Now 18 years later, StraightUp Solar is 100+ employees strong and serves both our Missouri and Illinois neighbors. Our solar experts live and work in the communities we serve, bringing 2,800 solar projects to light to date.

Founder Jerrid Fuller served his community for 9 years as a police officer before turning his passion for helping people toward a new career path. He accepted an opportunity with a Central Illinois roofing, siding, and gutter company, where he developed extensive hands-on skills and knowledge not only of roofing and exterior work, but also of the roofing business.

Today, Jerrid is living his American Dream, founding Blue Line Roofing & Exteriors to take quality and care to new heights. He and his team are happy to serve the community by installing professional, long-lasting roofs over the heads of their Central Illinois neighbors and providing only the highest quality products for their homes. They aim to make customers feel happier and more secure under their roofs every day.
