Purple Fields & Sunshine Yields | Long Row Lavender Goes Solar

For Long Row Lavender, a destination flower farm just outside of St. Louis, solar was a natural addition to their sustainable operation. After irrigating their fields from the nearby pond, growing fresh produce for their cafe, and keeping the bees happy with their 600+ lavender plants, Chad Smith and his wife were eager to make the switch to clean energy. This 30 kW system offsets 85% of their electricity usage and is projected to save them over $3,000 per year in electricity bills.
