In a landmark decision, the Illinois General Assembly passed the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act, putting Illinois at the forefront of the fight against climate change and committing the state to 50% Renewable Energy Standard.
What does this mean for Illinois solar?
This legislation will create nearly 9,800 MW of new solar capacity. It also replenishes funds for the Illinois Solar Renewable Energy Credit (SREC) cash incentive program, providing funding for everyday people and businesses to go solar.
