Pilgrim Green Missionary Baptist Church Goes Solar

Pilgrim Green Missionary Baptist Church of East St. Louis, IL placed a 23.1 kW solar PV system atop their fellowship hall in October 2020. In the first year, the REC 350-watt solar panels will produce nearly 30,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy a year. With a Power Purchase Agreement from the StraightUp Solar Legacy Fund, the church is estimated to reduce their energy bills by 54% or $36,000 annually. This installation was made possible by the Illinois Solar For All program.
