Bloomington Primary Care Solar Array

In 2018, Bloomington Primary Care had a 48 kW array installed on their facility as part of the Midwest Renewable Energy Association’s Solar Bloomington-Normal 2.0. This array is expected to offset about 56,000 kWh in the first year, and has a payback period of about 5.8 years. This is because of the Solar Renewable Energy Credits from Illinois, the Federal Tax Credit, and the bonus Federal Tax Depreciation (MACRS). This way the business can bring down its fixed costs while supporting solar in Illinois. Win win for everyone involved.
