StraightUp Solar is seeking a Full Time Solar Warehouse Manager for our St. Louis, MO office. Qualified candidates should be self-motivated and demonstrate attention to detail and accountability. They should also enjoy multitasking as a problem solver in a fast-paced dynamic team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise & schedule logistics to assist field operations, procurement, service and accounting in the movement, storage, job costing and logistics of tools and materials. Daily tasking includes support of 8+ crews subject to unlimited moving targets, partial dispatches, and project schedule volatility.
  • Ensure that material is received and stored in an efficient and economical manner maintaining records in accordance with company inventory policy.
  • Bi-state support as needed requires occasional daytime travel (rarely overnight) to assist with bulk module and equipment receiving and time sensitive material delivery to satellite crews. This includes a monthly (daytime) touch to our warehouses in Bloomington Normal, IL and Marion, IL to assist with inventory, organization, recycling, and maintenance issues.
  • Supervise the proper preparation, loading, and routing of orders for shipment and delivery in accordance with company policy.
  • Supervise processing and sort returned materials for RMA, reallocation and/or redeployment.
  • Supervise and schedule maintenance of company tool property
  • Review, monitor, and maintain required documents for safety, security, and quality processes pertaining to our equipment.
  • Supervise collection and reporting product serial numbers prior to job deployment. Report deployment and inventory requisitions for job costing to the accounting department.
  • Participate in the planning and scheduling of inventory activities including cycle counting, the annual inventory count process, and any necessary auditing responses.
  • Meet cost, warehouse cleanliness, productivity, accuracy, delivery, timeliness, and other Key Performance Indicators.
  • Coordinate and/or respond to emergency equipment failures
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to deal positively with senior management, vendors relations, and logistical solutions

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for someone with the ability to manage and coordinate all warehouse activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures and implement practices that improve the effectiveness and financial performance of the supply chain. You will do well in this job if you are a good communicator, have proven systems for keeping track of your deliverables and staying organized, can hold yourself to detail oriented completion standards despite a fast-paced sometimes challenging deployment schedule, all while having the ability to excel in a team environment where your performance is measured by the success of all. A strong self-starter with a passion for multi-tasking, problem-solving, and strong sense/internal drive for daily accomplishment will thrive in this role. The ideal candidate has some exposure to the solar installation process and is comfortable or knowledgeable with respect to materials and product lines used. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable in a warehouse type environment, with the opportunity for outdoor work occasionally; yet still feels driven when interacting in an office role with general laptop operation/email/word processing and spreadsheet knowledge base as a large percentage of daily responsibilities.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three+ years related experience or equivalent.
  • Clean driving record with reliable transportation.
  • Must have an excellent driving and safety record.
  • OSHA 10 certification, or willingness to obtain it before hire.
  • Smart Phone and laptop knowledge base
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite with spreadsheet experience.
  • Strong inventory control skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
  • Articulate with team members to ensure project completion efficiently.
  • Strong ability to manage numerous priorities, multitask, and follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Maintain pace intensity to match the needs of all installation, service, and accounting support initiatives.
  • Ability to receive and process incoming requests via phone, email, and alerts and prioritize action items needed to complete to deploy/support the needs of our crews.

  • Work Schedule: 6:00 am – 7:30 AM Start Time, 5 Days Per Week. M-F
  • *This is a Critical/Pivotal Role requiring exceptional attendance and reliability. Not eligible for remote work classification.
  • Full Time: An estimated 40-45 hours per week dependent on time management skills.
  • Pay Structure: Salary ($65-70,000+) based on experience
  • Overtime exempt, paid twice a month
