Community (Shared Array) $250/kW Rebate
Illinois’ Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) establishes a new $250/kW (DC) rebate to be paid upfront to the original developer of a shared array system. They will typically be required to install “smart” inverter technology, that will be accessible to the utility to facilitate grid reliability. Note that these customers are only eligible for dual metering whereby they receive credits for only the ‘energy’, not transmission portion of their bill.
This rebate will remain in effect until the total kW demand of all net metered systems combined reaches 5% of the state’s total kW demand.
