Wings of Hope Joins the Solar Tribe!

StraightUp Solar is forging another Humanitarian partnership – this time in Nicaragua with Wings of Hope, a 50+ year St. Louis charity with two Nobel Peace Prize Nominations that delivers Humanitarian programs to the impoverished.  StraightUp Solar is helping Wings of Hope expand its services to include solar electrification in rural Eastern Nicaraguan Villages.

This Partnership and Mission express our commitment to CLEARE values, specifically those of Community, Leadership, and Education.  StraightUp Solar agrees with Wings of Hope – “The heart of a Humanitarian wants to give Hope to those experiencing hopelessness and solve the cause of that misery.”  We have a particularly strong history of supporting local and global Communities and are further committed to helping Wings of Hope Lead efforts to drive down energy poverty and Educate the solar lesson within impoverished communities to bring about greater self-reliance.

Two StraightUp Solar employees will be chosen through an internal application process and will fund their own travels in order to spend a week installing solar electric systems that will ultimately electrify Three Villages using abundant solar power.
